Teacher / Kaiako Position - Thames Coast Kindergarten

We are seeking an innovative and passionate teacher to join our Inspired Kindergartens team at our Thames Coast Kindergarten in Te Puru on the Coromandel Peninsula. As we are reopening the kindergarten in Term 2 this position is fulltime but fixed term. As the roll stabilises, we anticipate the position will become permanent.

Thames Coast Kindergarten is a small, locally connected kindergarten with a long history of serving coastal families for more than 30 years. Tamariki learn, play, and grow together in an environment where relationships with whānau are central and community connections are highly valued.

Our coastal setting is an integral part of our curriculum. With the beach, creek, and local domain nearby, children regularly engage with the natural environment — developing curiosity, confidence, and a strong sense of kaitiakitanga.

You will be part of a supportive and collaborative teaching team, working in a well-resourced environment where meaningful relationships with tamariki and whānau are at the heart of practice.
