Thames Coast Kindergarten

Welcome to Thames Coast Kindergarten

We are a small, locally connected early childhood centre located in Te Puru, just north of Thames on the Coromandel Peninsula. For more than 30 years the kindergarten has served families along the coast as a place where tamariki learn, play and grow together, while parents and whānau build lasting connections within their community. 

Our coastal setting plays an important role in our learning programme. With the beach, creek and local domain nearby, children regularly explore the natural environment, developing curiosity about the world around them and building a sense of kaitiakitanga - caring for and respecting the environment. 

Families remain at our heart. Parents, grandparents and caregivers are welcome to visit us! 

Hours

Our hours are 8:45am - 2:45pm Monday to Friday.
Holiday programmes available following Term's 1, 2 & 3.

How much will it cost?

We offer up to 30 free hours* per week, and accept voluntary donations to help us to continue the great work we do!  We are a donation-based kindergarten, click here to find out more about the average donations we receive.
