Tai o Fenua Kindergarten is Inspired Kindergartens first Pacific Island kindergarten nestled in heart of Tauranga. We are looking for a registered teacher to fill a part-time (0.5) position over five days of the week. The appointee must be open to learning, be a creative thinker, have an ability to work with diversity, and has a commitment to Pacific Education, with a willingness to contribute as a team player.
Tai o Fenua reflects the Pacific Island communities across Tauranga Moana and works closely with BOP Pacific Island Community Trust. Teaching and learning practices and responsive to pacific ways of knowing, being and doing, which is a collaborative approach.
Currently the teaching staff of four teachers, teacher aide support and a part-time administrator. The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions. Monday to Friday. Tai o Fenua runs a holiday programme.
